Local Historic Character of the 1800's come alive!

Happy New Year!  2012 is off to an exciting start.  We have a lot of plans for adventures here at Bybee's Historic Inn.  January 16th will be our first Character Dinner for 2012 where local historic characters "come alive' sharing their lives as it was in the 1800's while being captivated by a demonstration of how whiskey was made in a log still. Enjoy a truly unique and initmate dining experience featuring a menu paired with wine or Dry Soda catered by Chef William Prahl and lovely wife Joyce.

Enhance the experience by staying in one of our luxurious rooms and wake up to a gourmet three course breakfast specified to your dietary needs.  We offer lodging specials with dinner.

November 11, 2011 Happy Veterans Day

November 10th we offered complimentary rooms to honor our Veterans and active Military Personel.  We were very pleased that we were able to fill all six of our rooms with our special guests from all over Oregon. They touched our hearts deeply.  We will be doing the same next year.

November 5th 2011

November 5th 22 members of Belles and Beaus of Jacksonville enjoyed and evening of Victorian tradition at the Bybee’s Historic Inn.   Belles and Beaus is an organization that promote history by dressing in vintage clothing and accessories while reviving the traditions of the 1800’s.  They pay attention to every detail including the clutches the ladies carried containing period appropriate items.  After a gourmet dinner catered by Chef William Prahl of De Javu in Jacksonville, the ladies retired to the Parlor  and the men remained in the dining room just as it was done in the Victorian era.  To finish off the evening everyone gathered in the parlor to play Victorian games.  It was truly magical to have our 1857 circa home filled with guests representing that period.
